weekend was a blast

long weekend was wonderful.i reached in-law’s place at around 9.30am on saturday.of which we watched TV while our hands were busy making mum-in-law’s signature delicacy, tapai.

beneath all the excitement…i was missing hubby very..very much.i was anticipating the moment when he stood at the door saying “assalamualaikum”. the moment came near noon. my heart skipped a beat. maybe even 2 beats. his cheeky smile made me melt.

as though the in-laws went through it all before, they decided to go marketing, leaving behind hakim, hubby and me. ehem** doors closed, the rest is history.

by the time they came back, i finished cooking sweet-sour garoupa. surprised? heh, i do know how to cook some simple dishes ya…

then it was karaoke at night. hee.and i SANG. (more like i croaked!)

reached home at 4am…and…hmmm…7 Dec 08 marked the first time “little boys swam up my cervix”

changes after marriage~

i wore a dress today because that was the fastest i could slip on without having to iron since i woke up so late having press the “snooze” button repeatedly. little did i know, the dress created mini-chaos at work. first came the comment “whoa, you firt time wear dress to work”….

ok, i wasn’t so affected. indeed it was the first time i wore a dress to work. otherwise, it’s blouses, t-shirts and pants. then came the teasing about “practising to wear maternity dress”… “counting the calendar to announce the good news…”… gosh** as defensive as i could get,i blurted out that i just finished my menses. the more they had to attack me with the teasing.

so i told my colleague…this innocent dress i wore to my bachelorette party ‘changed its status’ the moment i changed my status from single to married.from a party dress, it became a maternity dress. in fact since i came back from my marriage leave, they were so observant about what i put on. wonder how long they’ll have to wait to receive the announcement from me….ahahaha.

haven’t really talked to hubby about this. the last we had was about family planning; that we won’t be having a baby so soon. i was agreeable on that almost immediately. because i wanted some ‘quality time’ with him first. but now…with so many anticipating…it seems fun. but again…the stability of it all…we’ll really have to talk again. about buying a house, about having a baby…about almost everything. that’s because we haven’t had a long talk like we always do since tuesday.

night shifts~

hubby’s on night shift since last tuesday. and boy, i am missing him real bad. been sleeping alone on the big queen-sized bed. able to talk on the phone or sms only. hope i’ll see him this weekend. will surely need a wet…sloppy kiss from him for making me miss him this way. but…well..it’s not like i have much choice. it’s work. it’s responsibility. i’ll have to come to terms with it sooner or later.

ouh. talk has got round that i should be pregnant soon. my parents are like looking at baby shoes. my siblings are imagining having a lil’ baby to goo-goo-gaga over… you think so? is it a good time yet? hard to say. although i have the on-off urge to be a mummy soon… i get scared or rather fearful at times. am i ready? is he ready? we’re not talking bout a pet here. the responsibility…gosh**

so my menses just ended…will we be “working night shift” soon? Heh.
